Humura Community Center Uganda (HCCU) is a community-based organization dedicated to
promoting human well-being through health services, social work, education, and economic empowerment.
We work closely with communities, government institutions, development partners, schools,
healthcare providers, and volunteers to deliver impactful programs that address the social and health challenges affecting vulnerable populations.
We believe sustainable development begins with empowered people and strong communities.
A healthy, empowered, inclusive, and self-reliant community where every individual has the
opportunity to belong, thrive, and contribute to sustainable development.
To improve the quality of life of individuals and communities by providing accessible health
promotion, social support, youth empowerment, skills development, psychosocial care, and
community-based programs that foster dignity, resilience, and sustainable livelihoods.
We create positive change by promoting health and well-being, empowering young people, supporting older persons, building practical skills, and strengthening vulnerable individuals and families. Through compassion, inclusion, and community action, we are building healthier, stronger, and more resilient communities where everyone has a place to belong.

Health, Well-being & Community Support
Promoting healthier and more resilient communities through health education, psychosocial support, nutrition, hygiene, sanitation, social support and initiatives that improve the well-being of children, families, older persons and other vulnerable groups.
Human Rights, Legal Empowerment & Dignity
Promoting awareness of human rights and supporting communities to understand, protect and advocate for their rights. The program focuses on legal empowerment, dignity, equality, protection and access to appropriate support and justice.
Youth Empowerment & Skills Development
Creating opportunities for young people to learn, develop practical skills, build confidence and prepare for meaningful livelihoods through mentorship, leadership, vocational training, entrepreneurship and digital skills.
